JNBY FW12 Theme: Time

At JNBY , each collection is composes of 2-4 mini themed collections, each focuses on one source of inspiration. Themes like Future, where our designers took inspirations from objects like an astronaut suit and transform it into a modern piece of clothing, was a popular theme amongst our past collections.

In our current FW’12 collection, our designers go back to the root of JNBY and takes inspiration from ancient China. The two major themes we have for this season are Time and Qing Hua (Porcelain).

Colour palette for the Time collection includes: black, grey khaki, deep forest green, emerald green, cool grey, and charcoal grey.

JNBY Canada X Flying Pigeon

JNBY Canada recently collaborated with classic Chinese bicycle company, Flying Pigeon, in creating our visual display.

The Flying Pigeon’s been around since the 1950′s.  The famed Flying Pigeon bicycle was a symbol of an egalitarian social system that promised little comfort but a reliable ride through life. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s the logo became synonymous with almost all bicycles in the country. “First unveiled in China in 1950, the Flying Pigeon is classic. The look, iconic. The history, rich.” -Flying Pigeon

Thanks to YULU, a multicultural Vancouver-based advertising agency, Flying Pigeon can now be found at 8 East Cordova St.

For a limited time only, you can find one of these stylish bikes at the windows of all three JNBY locations. Don’t forget to check our their blog and short film on their website.
